Mayacamas Vineyards
Winemaker Dinner
Wednesday, February 1st, 2011 - 6:30pm
Join us for an exceptional wine dinner featuring a creative four course meal carefully paired with selected wines from Napa's Mayacamas Vineyards. Proprietor Chris Travers will be on hand to present the wines and answer your questions.

Mayacamas Vineyards is located in the Mayacamas Mountains that divide the Napa and Sonoma Valleys. The old stone winery (built in 1889) is near the top of Mt. Veeder. Fifty two acres of vineyards are planted on mountain sides ranging from 1,800 to 2,400 feet above sea level. The steep rocky slopes of the vineyards at Mayacamas yield small crops of tiny grapes. This small fruit is intensely flavored and results in very full character development in the wines. Robert and Elinor Travers bought Mayacamas Vineyards in 1968 and Bob is still the winemaker. Mayacamas produces around 1500 cases each of highly-acclaimed Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay from their mountaintop perch, with smaller quantities of Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, and Merlot also produced.
